Wherever possible Open Projects will produce the software required with the quality required, at a fixed price. In some cases where the client does not fully know what is required, this becomes impossible and we have no alternative but to work on a 'time and materials' basis.

More often the client knows what is required and we will respond by specifying what it will cost. Obviously on very large projects this becomes difficult and the project is broken down into deliverable fixed price components.

Our quotations are based on the number of days we estimate each phase of the project will require. When the quotation is accepted, we invoice an initial percentage. Each phase of the project is invoiced as it is delivered and the customer retains a percentage at the end of the project until completely satisfied.

The whole project is managed and monitored on a day-to-day basis using a computerised project management system. A project group consisting of Open Projects and client staff review the project at regular steering meetings.
